If I had a company, I'd give him a job. Glad he did the right thing and let us know about this disgusting plot.

Character matters. Here's another example of Obama's character.

Re: Gunwalker's ATF whistleblower fired
It always bothers me when a whistleblower tries to shed light on wrongdoing, there's a "Whistle Blower Protection Act"
in place, but he still gets fired and harassed.

Apparently the Senators and Representatives are not happy either as he was providing information to them.

I do not see why that is not protecting him this seems to be a case that law was made for. I hope he will get a nice big payout from the ATF coffers for wrongful termination.surprise_i'm_armed wrote:It always bothers me when a whistleblower tries to shed light on wrongdoing, there's a "Whistle Blower Protection Act"

Methinks the reason they are so bold is they feel/know they have the protection of the White House.

Re: Gunwalker's ATF whistleblower fired
My sense is that as the investigation shakes out, Congress is going to hold onto this like a junkyard dog, and nobody who is dirty is going to get out unscathed.....including the President in 2012. In the end, not only is this fired employee going to win his wrongful termination suit, but there may be some criminal charges against those who fired him. God is just. This kind of crap will not stand for too long. It already stinks. The more time it spends under the sunlight, the worse it is going to stink.loadedliberal wrote:I do not see why that is not protecting him this seems to be a case that law was made for. Re: Gunwalker's ATF whistleblower fired
Id like to think this guy will have his wining day in court, but my gut says, a bunch of GOV lawyers had a plan before they sent him packing, like, :violation of a security or disclosure clause, : and record will indicate an "investigation" into some wrong doing that is dated before his whistle blowing disclosure.

Unfortunately, this would come out of our pockets. What needs to happen is those that were responsible for his firing should lose all of their government retirement benefits to pay for any settlement.loadedliberal wrote:I do not see why that is not protecting him this seems to be a case that law was made for. Re: Gunwalker's ATF whistleblower fired
So what if this guy gets a big payout. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve one - he certainly does. But where is that law that makes US - the taxpayers - whole again after these kinds of shenanigans. Where is the "payout" back to the US Treasury for all the wasted time, money, effort caused by this bunk?loadedliberal wrote:I do not see why that is not protecting him this seems to be a case that law was made for. methinks it's not enough that the whistleblower gets a payout and the corrupt bureaucrats get rooms at Club Fed. Any convicted politicians (or their political party if the politician and his/her campaign is insolvent) should be required to pay cash restitution to the US Treasury from all their fund-raising apparatus.
That should make the parties think twice before they pay party money to campaign for ethically challenged candidates

Sad to hear this I hope he sues for illegal firing and wins.
