mental health institutions

Post by Venus Pax »

A relative of mine has recently been admitted into a mental health facility in Beaumont. I believe it's privately operated.
Barring 30.06, are there any restrictions against carrying in there when I go to visit him?
I'd like to carry, as I'm concerned with walking through the parking lot.

ETA: I'm not worried about him, per se. He handed over his one gun, a rifle, to me willingly. I will watch out for the others, however.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Even if it were to qualify as a hospital, 30.06 is required to exclude concealed carry.
