.22LR / .22Magnum revolver snap caps

Stumbled upon this on another forum and figured I'd share.

My wife just bought a S&W351PD for ultra-lightweight carry, and she wanted to dry fire it for practice, but alas is't a rimfire and they don't like dry firing. Sure you CAN spend $10 on 6 snap caps which apparently break after a couple hits, but there is an alternative you might already have in your home.

#4-6 or #6-8 plastic wall anchors, depending on what your gun likes (hers likes the #6-8), from your favorite hardware store. Fully protects the cyl. and gives the pin something to dent/bounce off of. Plus, if they're a little over dented in 1 spot, rotate 15 degrees and it's like they're brand new.

All this for about $1-2.

If that was the case, someone was probably using A-Zoom's action proving rounds instead of actual snap caps.

Midway confuses the issue by including 'snap caps' in the description of products which aren't intended as snap caps.
