Glock 19 firing pin upgrade question

Okay..If i was to upgrade my G19 4th gen firing pin, what would brand and model woudl you recommend? Also, if i was to chose from the Glock titanium striker or the Lone Wolf Lightweight Firing Pin; which would be better or worse and why?? Its just the online stores say..O mine is better..but you don't really know until you try it yourself..IMO..Just wanting people opinions who have already have experience with this.

Yes: get Glock and friends to give you a new one. They have plenty.
No: if it ain't broke then...

or you can buy my .40 cal firing pin in the classifieds section ( may not work with G19... and it's attached to a G23 )

No, mine is fine..I was just curious and looking at parts for the G.

I would say that there would be no discern-able difference. FP's either ignite 100% of the time or they need to be replaced. Save your cash for ammo IMO.

I own several glocks some of them are over 10k round mark, I have never needed to change the firing pin. I would leave it alone if no issue.

I have a 1911 that has a titanium firing pin from the factory; but it is a "A1" configuration and the lightweight firing pin is an antidote to the possibility of a discharge if the gun is dropped. I don't believe there is a safety reason for a Glock to have a titanium firing pin, and like AndyC said, unless you're an incredibly gifted shooter, you're not likely to be able to tell the difference in lock time. There is certainly nothing wrong with that upgrade, but if the pistol were mine, I'd be more likely to spend upgrade money on things like a stainless steel guide rod, or perhaps night sights.....things that would actually make practical difference in the ownership/carrying/shooting experience.

I wouldnt mess with something that works fine. I leave all my glock internals as is because they were designed to work that way. Plus if something were to go wrong and you had to send it back to glock, you dont want to give them any reason not to fix it based on the glock warranty they provide. Would they actually say something? Maybe not but why risk it. Its just "bling". If you want parts, i would stick with OEM parts in case something breaks at the range, at a class, end of the world, etc. You can fix a glock in a pinch.

Sounds to me that you like to mod your handguns. Sounds like you need a 1911! If you like to customize your piece start from scratch and do a 1911 build. I have two Glocks and Glocks are Glocks. They go bang and are ultra reliable. Leave it alone if it is a carry weapon.

Okay so what parts are actually worth upgrading in a G19?
I've only upgraded the rod.

Front night sight or both, front will be easier to change out. Personally I'd like to try the glock extended slide and mag releases. Maybe a light for your ligt rail? Grip job? Get a few nice holsters?

You can spend quite a bit of cash and time on the glock without tinkering with the operational stuff.

Those are all personal preference mods and can be done without changing the function at all. I stay away from all the trigger mods etc.. on defensive guns. I have a 10/22 to get all those bugs out of the system.

I am left handed so i had my mag release on the other side, and I got the extended Slide lock and in my opinion it is great and very easy to use. it just took some time getting used to, but it is very easy to lock the slide back. For the holsters, i have 2. one is inside the belt from highnoonholsters.com and the other is a Blackhawk Serpa, and they both work great. i have grip tape, but i want to find more that is not already cut out into the shape. Anyone know what type of grip tape that is usually used? For the sights yeah i'll look into upgrading them.
