CPA recommendations (in Austin)?
Well, this is the first year my FFL business has actually MADE money (yay!), so it's probably a good idea that I take some money and find a CPA, preferably one that understands FFLs, or is at least gun-friendly. Any nice folks on here have any recommendations?

I'm an accountant, but not a CPA. You probably don't need a specialized accountant, any proffessional tax accountant (other than the strip mall Jackson-Hewitt types) should do.
Your best bet is to get a refferal from people that own businesses. Ask them who they use, and if they like them.

I use a college friend in DFW. Hes a CPA with a big 4 firm and does personal taxes on the side. I send him everything electronically. He is fast, reasonable, and me a ton (got me $1700 more back than I had worked out). I run my off duty jobs like another business so he's familiar w ins and outs of small business. If you're interested let me know via PM.
