Is using a fire extinguisher excessive force???

...on the fire...Not the person setting the fire...

This story kinda flows between the cracks in what we could and should do, and the law that says we could, but should we...

Aspirins for everyone!!!

I just couldn't resist...

I would have grabbed on and just walked behind her, putting out the small patches she started, and giving her a squirt in the shorts each time. I'd also have the other employees stand at the exits to keep her inside.

I was hoping someone else would say this...

But it makes you wonder why everyone was panicking about the fires...And not thinking to grab the nearest NFPA required, per business space, and potential occupancy, rated ABC fire extinguisher available...

And go to town...Its not that hard to put those types of conflagrations out...

Happened to me at a restaurant a few years ago...Everyone just watched the glow coming from the doors leading to the kitchen...All the staff came falling out, I saw how big the fire was, grabbed the nearest extinguisher...And the rest was histwaa...

Whats the big deal???

"...squirt in the shorts..."

Now thats funny!!!

That would be an interesting one.

Do you leave?

Grab a fire extinguisher and put out the cigarette/fires with it?

Beat her with the fire extinguisher? ;-)

Spray her with OC so she drops the cigaratte?

or Draw Down.... "Drop the cigarette!"

My first instinct would be to leave, but I would hate it if somebody got killed when I could have done something to stop it.

That story seemed to be in the right place with this ad for "Strange Photos" alongside it:
