How long is a renewal good for?

I received my first CHL that was issued 2 days before my birthday (11/XX) in 2007. It expired 11/XX/2011. 4 years.

I did my renewal and it was issued after my birthday 11/XX plus 10 days and expires 11/XX/2016. 5 years.

Are all renewals good for 5 years or did I get on the good side of my birthday this time?

Renewals are good five years if you don't have a gap.
