I have still not gotten the fine. Guess the TSA guy who was in charge took pity upon me.
I think my not getting fined may have had something to do with the fact that the TSA guy was actually a self defense instructor. He was actually concerned that I was not carrying with one in the pipe. After doing some reading...that is no longer the case now.
