The hero passenger who helped restrain a disruptive JetBlue pilot that caused the jetliner to be diverted to Texas said today that he knew controlling the man could be the difference between life and death for a lot of people.
"I knew there were about 130 people on the plane...families, kids...and I thought, this is not going to happen on my plane," passenger David Gonzalez told ABCNews.com.

I hate to think what could have happened if the pilot had his cocpit carry card from the Flight Deck Officers Program.
