best mount for scope on mauser

Hi,

I have a vz24 Check 8mm mauser with straight bolt handle. I don't want to permanently "bubba" it by drilling, etc. What would be the best way to put on a scope mount that doesn't require permanent modification of the gun? I want the scope to keep a zero even after field strip and cleaning. In other words, I don't want to have to take apart the scope mount every time I take apart the gun to clean it.

Drill and tap the receiver, drill and tap the barrel, or mount it on the stock. I am ignorant of any other way.

Mounting on the stock wouldn't be very accurate, in my opinion.

Of course (smile on), the best way to find out how to do something, is to post that it cannot be done on a web forum!!
