That's a bit redundant, don't you think? Maybe even a bit sesquipedalian, when the words "stoopid gummint" work just as well.A-R wrote:got this on an email today - love it![]()

While I agreee with almost all posts made by A-R, I believe TAM has a very valid point.
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

The movie "Idiocracy" used to be funny.
As its absurd premises start looking more like reality, its not as chuckle worthy anymore.
From congress critters during the SOPA mess proudly proclaiming "I'm not a tech nerd", then proceeding to state why they're qualified to pass legislation on the internet, to our favorite congress critters telling reporters than a barrel shroud is a "shoulder thing that goes up", to the esteemed congress critter who was worried if we stationed any more US troops on Guam we might TIP THE ISLAND OVER.....we are governed by morons. Idiots. Fools.
And they can pass laws. If we lowly peons decide a law is ridiculous or insane, we can be put in jail for not following it.
The mere fact that congress critters can PROUDLY proclaim their ignorance and get reelected is a sign we are in very very deep trouble.

Actually "stoopid gummint" is redundant also. The Annoyed Man wrote: That's a bit redundant, don't you think? Maybe even a bit sesquipedalian, when the words "stoopid gummint" work just as well.
