Renewal question

Post by rl168 »

I was doing the online application for my 1st renewal. I was surprised they asked for my Employer name and address. Curious why is that information needed, anyone knows? I don't recall if I provided that information back when I applied for CHL.

They want to know what counties you live in, and work in, to perform a local background check.

They will not call your employer. And yes, it was on the initial application.

I became self employed shortly after obtaining my CHL. Do I just list my business name on the renewal app?

Thanks guy. I was a bit paranoid when I saw the form asking about employer information.

I just did my second renewal and also had forgotten they ask for this information. It kinda panicked me at first, too, but then I remembered I was working at the same place on my last renewal and they haven't fired me yet.

I think that works. Or, you could just put "self" under employer, and use your home address as your business address.
