Federal small pistol primers

I was just told, by an employee in a small local reloading supply shop that I frequent, that their distributor told them that Federal primers will not be available for 12-24 months! Has anyone else heard this? Additionally, how do the Match grade primers compare with the standard Federal 100's, especially as to hardness?

DMG, Hadn't heard about the Federal Primers but will check my sources. Regarding the match grade primers, they work exactly the same as the standard grade primers in revolvers. I have loaded both for 9mm and 45acp revlovers with no problem.
