Third Amendment

Post by RPB »

U.K doesn't have a Third Amendment like we do

London Judge Throws Out Bid to Stop Government Installation of Missiles on Rooftops of residents' private Apartment building

As we give up more and more "Liberty/Freedom/Privacy" in the interest of "National Security" at airports and everywhere else,... wonder if our current Courts would extend "quartering Soldiers" to mandating "installing missiles on your roof"

All the photos I saw showed soldiers manning the missiles ... so they'll need access to your roof to go up and down ... and probably your restroom and a drink of water and maybe hey, what's in your fridge?

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
There's reasons we are no longer part of the UK, and reasons for every Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
The Third Amendment was written about 45 minutes after the Second ...with the same mental process; protecting the individual/private property owner (and family)/citizen from the armed Government.
Remember the cost which was paid to keep those unalienable rights ... don't give them up.

And ... be thankful.

Do you really think a pesky thing like an amendment would get in the way of security?
