The Kel-tec butt extension is a must-have for me. Also, there is a buffer tube cover that is nice to have. I can't remember who makes it, but you can find it on KTOG. I have a Hogue Handall on mine, which I really like.

I have tried everywhere I know to try to find one in 9mm. I would be willing to pay a decent price, but anything on any of the auction sites are at least twice, or more, retail.

Where did you find one?
If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

Get a 30 round mag and start buying ammo. It's not a precision shooter but it is a fun one! :fire

Yeah ammo and ammo I hear ya, I know a red dot will stop you folding in half but what about a quick release mount I'm not overly impressed with the sights that are on it . I have not shot it yet but looking through the peep hole on a target on the wall in the house just doesn't do it for me. But keep the ideas coming I am searching everything that is brought up heck cool thing is that most of the stuff is pretty cheap.
Thanks for the answers

The sights are simplistic, but functional and accurate. Red Lion makes a quad rail that rotates and indexes for it. You can use it to mount a red dot and still fold. It is pricey, but supposed to work well. From the reports I read, the KT version of a scope mount is crap. A lot of guys are making their own. I prefer mine to be a KISS setup, so no optic for me yet. Check out KTOG. There are some guys on there doing good stuff with their Sub2K's. There are a lot of guys doing ridiculous crap, but there are some very functional setups as well.

Concur with the accessories mentioned. But do NOT buy the Kel-Tec spare mag holder that attaches to the stock. It is a complete piece of junk that does not hold up to firing.

I will continue to look, but won't hold my breath. Sure want to find one though....

I bought my Sub2K at Carter's Country in Houston for $400. They were scarce at the time so I jumped on it. It's a .40 caliber. I've seen more of them since. There was one at Marksman in Pasadena the other day when I was there. $400ish I think also. Can't quite remember. The Premier Gunshow here this past weekend had one (I can't remember the vendor though - it was 9mm). I also saw another model Keltec carbine that I wasn't familiar with.

It's functionally accurate enough for what it is, so I won't change the sights probably, but I'm VERY interested in the buttstock extension. There's barely enough room for cheek for me in the current setup. Would love to have a little more recoil protection also. I get bruised up pretty good after range sessions.

So, the butt extension you are talking about is from Kel-Tec or aftermarket? The hogue handall is a good idea. That's my one real complaint about the gun -- the handle seems poorly designed. It's held together with one screw and it looks like it could come apart at the seam. If I squeeze it wrong I can see daylight through the crack. The handall might actually help keep it all together it would certainly help me not notice that anymore.

I ordered from B&H Gun Rack. It's definitely not law enforcement only. Here is their contact information: http://www.bhgunrack.com/contact.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

$320 shipped. They said they are getting shipments roughly every 3 months.

Here is a recent video of the Kel Tec sub 2000 -

Here's the buttstock extension:

These guys offer the bolt tube cover, which I also really like. I also have the operating handle, which is not really essential IMO.

The Handall is awesome for keeping the grip together, and it is much more comfortable in the hand. I also have this small rail from Kel-Tec, which is perfect for mounting a light.

One other thing I did to improve function was take my Dremel and sand off about half the mag release. I found it to be overly obtrusive, and as a lefty I was hitting it and dropping mags while firing. 5 minutes with the Dremel and it is much slicker and more comfortable.

a buffer tube cover can easily be made from gray colored closed cell water pipe insulation - cut to fit. That's an old trick from KT customizers ;-)
