Looking for some land but need help

I would like to purchase some hunting land near Houston no more than three hours outside of Houston. I need some help locating an area I have searched the internet, but haven't really found anything solid.

Does anybody here have any suggestions where I can look?

A friend knows of 100 acres at $2500.00 per. It may come with hunting restrictions, so be forwarned. Near Lake Palestine/Athens TX.
