Bushnell 6-24 Elite Tactical range report

Post by Seabear »

Ok, so now for the fun part. After installing the scope on my 10FCP HS Precision .308 I spent time yesterday testing some factory loads since I am not loading for it "yet". Believe it or not, of the three brands I had the rifle prefered Remington 150 gr.Core-Lockt PSP...I know, cheap stuff. It got hot and windy and I was out of the 150gr. so I went back today.

I had two friends go with me, and we all took turns testing it. We all liked it and the first focal plane reticle didn't seem to be an issue, however we were limited to 200 yards on our range. The best shooter among us could "almost" make two shots look like one at 100 yards. With my eyes and wiggles I could cover mine with a dime. So then I cranked her down 4.5 MOA and then back up to 4.5 above zero, worked like a champ. Dialed it in for 200 and she was just a tad high. (my chart was for 168 gr.) Dialed it back down to ZERO and put one "almost" through the last hole I had shot at 100!!

Then I had one of my buds dial it up to 200 again and back down to ZERO asnd he put a round within a 1/4" of touching the last shot he had fired at 100.!

So far I think this scope could not track any better. We did the same thing adjusting the windage at 200 due to the increased wind and then brought it back to ZERO and double checked it at 100.

In addition it focuses very well and the glass is super clear .

It may not be a Nightforce, but what more can I ask? :thumbs2:

edited to correct MOA
Carry safe and carry when and where you can. I'm just sayin'.

Close TAM however mine is the ET6245F which is the first focal plane /illuminated reticle/Mil-Dot.

After reading some comments in my other Topic, I thought I might not like the first focal plane, but I like it, all three of us did. :cheers2:

Here is the scope I ended up with , it is a higher series than the 4200, (6200)...it's the http://www.bushnell.com/products/scopes ... duct/?n=16" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
