CA drives backward :(

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

CA drives backward :(

Post by Beiruty »

Another reason not to move to Anti-gun state like CA.
The state Assembly on Wednesday voted final legislative approval to a ban on carrying unloaded rifles and shotguns openly in public in California cities, with supporters citing recent mass shootings in other states and concern by police officers.

How do the owners transport their wares? Is it illegal to display firearms in gun-stores in cities?

Does the law apply to Oakland gangs? Or, are they exempt from the law?

Where is the big Tremble?

So, if you want to openly carry your rifle or shotgun it must be loaded? I'm okay with that.

Now, I know that can't be true, so what a bunch of morons. I sure am glad I have already been to CA and the entire New England region many years ago so I don't have to go back.

The gangs don't give a flip what the Legislature does, or thinks.

The Assembly passed it. Did the Senate? Has Moonbeam signed it? Often one house will pass something, the other house won't so they can go out on the hustings and claim all the wonderful things they supported voted for but were foiled by the overwhelming forces of evil, or perhaps more often, the supporters didn't come up with enough beak wetting to get the votes in one house.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

That was already illegal, they are just "closing a loophole". Same with unloaded open carry that was abolished last year.

My wife and I just celebrated 3 years as Texans and I couldn't be prouder.

I'm not sure if I have ever shared this story with this forum, but you know how people who have looked into genealogy will often find famous relatives like kings, pirates etc?

Gov Moonbeam is actually a very distant cousin of mine.

That's the branch of the family tree that fell off, moved to California and went crazy. At least, that's what I'm going to claim. :biggrinjester:

My son told me just last night at dinner that he heard from some of his airsoft buddies back in California that the state is about to outlaw or severely restrict ownership of airsoft guns. Don't know if this is true or not, but if it is, it doesn't even make me raise my eyebrows anymore.

Nothing about CA looniness shocks me any longer. Even though they're heading for bankrupcy, they voted to build a multi-billion dollar "high speed rail" line. Guess the monorail to Fantasy World wasn't fast enough for Goofy.
