Score!

Post by ffemt300 »

Scored this from my wife's mom. Stoeger Luger .22lr. Pretty sweet little pistol. It belonged to my wife's grandfather. I had been looking for a .22 pistol to teach my wife how to shoot. now I got one. I hear these actions are notorious for jamming? anyone else have one? Thoughts on best brand of ammo?

I would try CCI minimags first and if they don't work try other brands, some of those pistols were finiky about what they would work with.

Growing up, I had a buddy who had a .22 Luger made by Erma. It ate everything we ever shot through it.

had one of them back in the 80's....GREAT shooting pistol....never had any problem with feeding any brand of ammo...very accurate plinker... used it to teach both sisters to shoot....one of those guns you wish you'd kept looking back.

Yeah I will definitely keep it. Especially since it has my wife's grandfather's name scratched into the grip. I was reading some reviews on a "Luger" forum and they were mixed. Some said one pistol will shoot beautifully and the next will be a picky eater. We shall see. My mother-in-law told me it had lived in the holster for the last 28 years, so it may not have had all that many rounds put through it. I aim to remedy that problem. :evil2:

both of my sisters found the toggle action much easier to operate than the slide on my other semi-autos...easy to get a grip on and lift up.

Yeah I think my wife will find it easier too. The slide on my .40 was awkward for her.
