background:
60+, wear trifocals, iron sight shooting is tough
M41 w/red dot is easier
Haven't practiced with the 5 screw K22 in a month.
Said, "What the heck? Take it out of the safe and shoot it!"
Silhouette match this morning:
I scored higher with the K22 than the M41 (which I've been doing a LOT of practice with)!
Lesson Learned:
Do NOT neglect the K22! Shoot it!
Placed 2nd in my class in both irons and optics. Woot!
Surprise! K22 Outshoots M41??

Good Shootin', Doc540.
You have two classics, and they are classics for good reason. Enjoy them fully.

Here's a M41 target from when I was practicing.
Red bullseye is 1.5"
I was spraying it with an inexpensive red dot and cheap ammo.
