There are more firearms in civilian hands in the U.S. every day than the day before, and more households that have at least one firearm.
If anything, this study shows that firearms owners and hunters are taking safety more seriously.

My point was that this will probably be used to show that the firearms community (NSSF) has a report out that shows that during the time period of the gun ban, that injuries decreased.
This will be enough for the anti's to rally behind, whether a correlation is correct or not (it's not).
This was not a study that has anything to do with the gun ban, but it will be used none the less.
