Funny/Sad sign of the times.

Post by Seabear »

I'm not sure where to post this, and not sure the link will work if you guys and gals aren't members. However, this is the funniest ad I have seen, I wish I had thought of it.

http://2coolfishing.com/ttmbforum/showt ... p?t=460777" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If you can't open the link, it was for . 5.56 ammo on blowout special!

Here is the Text:
I have excellent conditon 5.56 AMMO for sale. It is brand new surplus and full metal jacket. Willing to sell at a loss for only 1 dollar. Local pickup is preferred but I am willing to ship on your dime. Keep in mind you get ONE premium bullet..you know how hard this stuff is to come by.

Thanks

That's funny, but if at $1 he's selling it for a loss then he was ripped-off when he bought it.

Maybe he considers it a loss based on his current valuation of it.

Could be. :lol: Or I guess he could have just bought it yesterday and it really is a loss to sell at $1. :eek6

LOL I think it was just a dig at all the people that advertise their stuff and claim to be taking a loss. AND it "may" be based on cost evaluation. :coolgleamA:

The main thing to me is it made me laugh. I / we need to do that a little.

I wanted to buy mags for my PF9 and my Kimber Ultra at the gunshow here in Corpus this weekend. There is usually one vendor with a BIG sign that says "CLIPS" and he has about everything you could want. They have NEVER had a line for mags, Saturday they had two lines wrapping around a couple of isles of the show. it was a pain for everyone. Needless to say I didn't get in line for 7 round mags. :headscratch

back during the last mass rush on ammo, when cdt was offering the single box of blazer aluminum .380 acp for $60-70, I made this offering for sale at only $55 (not including shipping of course). A very nice $50 bill and a real, functional .380 round.

Although I no longer have the 50, I still have the single .380 round. It can be yours for only a buck...shipping and handling not included. :cool:
It's not gun control that we need, it's soul control!
