AR pistol lower converting and using as rifle
okay just making sure i remember this correctly but cant you take an AR pistol lower and make it a rifle without any problems or legal issues but it would have to remain rifle correct? use to be able to change them one way with no legal issues but not 100% sure which way it was from pistol to rifle or rifle to pistol (thinking it was pistol to rifle) -- or can this even be done anymore

You can put a 16" or longer barrel with a stock and convert it back to a pistol without issue. Just don't have a barrel shorter than 16" and the stock on at the same time. ATF removed the "once a lot rifle always a rifle" language.
