I have to admit, I was looking to Alex Jones for energy and inspiration now that the 2nd Amendment is facing the fight of our lifetimes. I even tried a trial subscription to PrisonPlanet.tv to have access to all the media he offers. I am not a 9/11 "truther", but I like listening to a variety of theories on what is happening with the current breakdown of our government and society over the previous 20 or so years.
Anyway, I was listening to his daily news report last night and one of his reporters had taped a segment with Hezbollah and Ahmedinijad sympathizer Francis Boyle, law professor at the University of Illinois (you know, Illinois -- the mafia run state?). He is former head of the U.S. office of Amnesty International, and during the interview claimed that all of our current problems are from the long-term growth of conservative political influence in the U.S(!!!). He has referred to Israel as "Jewistan" and has encouraged Iran and the Palestinians to sue the U.S. and Israel in world court for aggression and war crimes.
When I started listening to this I thought this was an awfully strange guest to have on a so-called Libertarian program on a media outlet operated by a so-called "Conservative Constitutionalist". Not only that, but the host of that particular segment lauded Boyle for his tireless work in the name of human rights around the world. In my opinion, Amnesty International is very selective in the human rights they choose to champion and lacks credibility not to mention his radical and some might say, anti-Semetic background. The appearance of this guest on a program hosted by Jones's organization really makes me question where his organization is coming from and who might actually be backing it. The guy always seems to plead poverty, but always seems to have the cutting edge technologies to platform his media and is preparing to host a film contest that pays $100,000 to the winner. Anyone else have the same concerns, or am I the only one who's been following him lately?
I have unsubscribed from his site and have stopped listening because of this development.

I'm to the point where anything sourced to Alex Jones, InfoWars, Prison Planet etc instantly loses all credibility until it's corroborated by additional sources. Even when I agree with his points (as I did with much of the Piers Morgan interview) his tactics simply suck and the bottom line is he and his schtick is a net loss for gun rights, libert etc.

Yeah...I feel like I've been misled and hate appearing gullible. The more I look back on it, the more I realize the guy is notoriously long on hyperbole and spin and notoriously short on detail.
Re: Concerns about Alex Jones
I had never heard of Alex Jones until he did the WH petition and his disgraceful appearance on Piers Morgan show. He is not helping anyone's cause except his own and those on the opposing side. All he has done is legitimize Piers Morgan's absurd suppositions about those that support 2A rights as nut jobs.
He may be right on some of the facts, but in the words of great Bill Cosby, "It's all in the presentation". He brought his views on a garbage can lid

I have no support for Alex Jones. Couple years back I was involved with a case he talked about. The victim himself tried to tell Alex my dept did their job but no cigar. Alex ranted and raved about non truths. Same case on Judge Napalitano and the judge got it right

The sad part is that the Libs try to make the rest of us "own" what Jones says or maybe more important, how Jones acts. I'm certain that Morgan was just dancing with glee after his interview with Jones. I just cringed.

Alex jones may have bit the dust but shipparo went toe to toe with Morgan last night and did just fine. Admirably even.
Jones is not conservative or liberal. He is a loon. However occasionally he is right. Even a stopped watch is right twice a day. I treat his sources with care and caution, If his sources something I look for three validating sources to concur before I believe what he says.
