DART and TRE

Post by texas297 »

Saturday I think I'm taking the boy to Dallas by way of a "train ride" (the Trinity Railway Express). Once in Dallas we may walk around West End a bit then take a Dart light rail maybe up to Plano. No reason other then just to get my 4 year old on a train.

So my question is, is it legal to carry on DART and the TRE?

Thanks
David

DART is not a listed facility under the law restricting carry. As they are a government entity, they cannot post 30.06, and do not. Carry away.

TRE, I have no idea.

The TRE is owned jointly by Dart and Ft. Worth's "T". You can carry just like on Dart trains and for the same reason, it's a goverment owned operation. Amtrak, unfortunately, even though it's goverment owned, is the only rail passenger opperation in this area that prohibits the possession of any weapons, including guns, licensed or not. I'm glad to see that you are introducing your boy to the train, it's a great way to go! Hope ya'll have a great time!
