We started out on the 25 yard range. As you can see, I was shooting low at first. After some tweaking of the scope settings, I finally got two in the middle. PawPaw said, "You don't need my help any more!"
Then we moved to the 50 yard range, adjusted the scope and shot the following groups.
This is the second time I've shot an AR-15, but the first time was just two or three shots. The last time I shot a rifle before that was in the Navy back in 1968.
Not too bad for an old man with bad eyesight. Next time I'll use ear plugs. The dern headphones got in the way while trying to look through the scope.
A huge thanks to PawPaw for being willing to drive all the way over to Elm Fork, let me use his tool to line up the scope and for imparting his vast knowledge of AR-15's to this newbie. I'll get better with practice. I promise.
