Cowboy Action Shooting in Dallas....

Post by drjoker »

Hey, who would be interested in cowboy action shooting in Dallas? It would have to be Wednesday morning at the crack of dawn (7:00 AM to 8:00AM) or lunch time (11:30 AM to 12:30 pm). A little pre-work fun or lunch hour fun.... Dress up if you can, or just come as you are (just no tennis shoes, please).

Actually, I wanna call it "Old West Action Shooting" because you can even come as a native American instead. You don't have to be a cowboy. No range fees. It is free, BUT I would really appreciate a small donation of ammo; 40 rounds of 9mm or 30 rounds of 38 or 20 rounds of 380 or 150 rounds of 22lr or 30 rounds of 22 magnum in factory ammo, not reloads. Or you could come 30 min early and leave 15 min late to help set up and clean up instead, if you have no ammo to spare.

Unlike the SASS, you don't have to dress up in expensive period clothes (just no tennis shoes). You don't have to buy 4 expensive high caliber guns. You only have to buy one or two .22 lr guns. You can bring high caliber guns, but they are not necessary. You can even bring a modern revolver, just don't use the double action trigger. Cock the hammer before every squeeze of the trigger.

anyone interested? if so, what time slot are you interested in? dawn or lunch? what gun do you own that could be used for Old West Action Shooting?

If too many people sign up, then I'll email everybody a history quiz. If you get all the questions correct, you'll get to go. If you didn't get all the questions correct, you're staying at home.

PM me if you're interested! Range is in Carrollton. Attendees limited to 4, including myself.

I own a Heritage .22lr revolver. Best $100 I ever spent !
