Having knee surgery Thursday

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Having knee surgery Thursday

Post by Songbird »

It's just a scope to repair a meniscus tear, but prayers for peace would be appreciated. I've not had any kind of surgery since I had my son in 1979, and I had a friend/co-worker pass away after a routine knee scope last year. This is messing with my head a bit (well, ok, a lot).

When I had my last acl reconstruction, Dr. Yam actually prayed over me just before the operation. Was very comforting, but just remember, either way He is in control. Prayers sent. : )

Prayers Songbird, from someone who has been there and done that, and all I have to show is my lousy scars (lol).

My right knee has been scoped three times. It's not much worse than dental work. But, prayers for you that the doctor's hand is steady, the pain is minimal, and the recovery is short. :tiphat:

I replaced my 71 year old left knee five months ago with a new one and have, so far, lived through it. You'll probably be okay, too.

Good luck!

Thought of you as I woke up to a throbbing knee :biggrinjester:

I'm home and resting. All went well. Thank you so much for the prayers everyone!

Could still use some prayers. The right knee isn't healing. Still very painful, swollen, and weak a month after surgery. And in the process of being careful with that knee I tore my other one getting into my husband's pickup. Now neither of them work. I'm good to walk or stand with crutches for about 10 minutes before the pain becomes too much. Haven't a clue how I will be ready to stand in front of middle school kids for 6 hours straight starting in about 6 weeks. :cryin
