I've had my CHL since it first became available...I think 1995. I've carried almost everything in almost every way imaginable. I'm not one one of those "carry to and from my truck" kind of guys so comfort plays a big part with me.
Years ago I settled for OWB Avenger style holster in 4:00 position but I always kept trying new / different handguns. I really thought the XDs was going to be my favorite. But no. The grips pinched my skin and was generally uncomfortable after 5 or 6 hours.
So I'm done looking for new handguns. I've always gone back to my PM9 and I'm back there again. It carries super comfortably and shoots accurately with very acceptable recoil. I bought it when they first came out. Don't remember the year but I paid like $350 brand new.

I've narrowed it down to an XDs, and XDm, and a PM9. I like the PM9 a lot, but unlike you my preference on most days is for the XDs.

I can see why people like xd's, I live my mk9 elite, but I keep coming back to my p32 with the waist band clip or I can pocket carry easily, I will even carry my naa 22 in my sock
