He was arrested wearing body armor and carrying a gun. He claimed that he displayed a CIA badge at a local theater to minimize concerns about the firearm he was carrying. He told FBI investigators that he had a concealed weapons permit and didn't want to leave his gun unattended....

Anygun, I agree with your sentiments stated above and perhaps I could have worded my concerns a little better. The rabid anti-gunners are going to hate us anyway, as you stated. I think my main concern with something like this is those who are on the fence about CHLs....perhaps my concerns are overblown. That said, I think we all agree the guy in this case is an idiot.
