When you read the story, it is not as cut and dry as the headline might suggest.
The robber was female and was shot while inside a car in the mans driveway. The woman was not armed.
Per the shooter, previously this woman and two men held him at gun point in his home and robbed him. As they left he grabbed his shotgun and shot the woman as she was leaving. The two men escaped in another car.
So maybe this should serve as a cautionary tale for home self defense.
This certainly could have occurred exactly as described, but I'm not buying it.

The last comment in the article that "no detailed description was given of the other suspects". How can they stand right in front of you and rob you and you NOT be able to give some type of description? I agree, there is more to the story. The robbers came in 2 separate cars? She was in the passenger seat so apparently one of the other suspects that got away was driving the car that she jumped into. Otherwise, she would have gotten into the drivers seat. Weird.

You park in the driveway when you rob a house. You come to rob in two cars.
