Anyone headed to the Ft Worth gun show?
I'm leaving the house in about 15-20 minutes. I expect to be there shortly after 1 p.m. I'll be wearing a tan cap with a round patch on it, a tan & brown print shortsleeved shirt, Wranglers, and hiking boots.

Honestly, I did not notice the 30.06 sign because I left my gun in the car and assumed it would be there. When I got to the entrance, it was organized a lot differently. You pay at the TOP of the escalator, and they had both rooms on either side of the central hall.
Didn't buy any guns, but I got a pretty good deal on a brand new Trijicon ACOG TA31F for $999.00. MSRP is $1,433.00, and places like SWFA appear to be selling it for around $1,218.00.

The glass on these things is so amazingly clear. I'll be offering my Burris 536AR for sale shortly.

Would have loved to go, but having spent so much time out of town, and only this weekend here, had mucho honey-do's to get handled.....
On a side note, did the renewal stuff online for the CHL and never gave it a second thought. New plastic arrived in the mail today!!! No muss, no fuss!

You are going to love using that scope. You couldn't talk me out of my TA01.The Annoyed Man wrote:Honestly, I did not notice the 30.06 sign because I left my gun in the car and assumed it would be there. What scripture is on it? Mine is JN8:12.

Re: Anyone headed to the Ft Worth gun show?
We went yesterday afternoon as well, not horribly packed but busy as usual. I didn't find anything but my girlfriend loaded up. Found her a Remington 1100 20 gauge, some chicken targets, a magpul case and her favorite thing of the day was a Femme fatale holsters. She had been looking for something that would more easily carry at work and their corset wrap looks like it will do the job. Really nice people, helped her try it on and fit a dummy gun so she knew it worked. She's been wearing it all day at the cat show and lives it. Wish I would have known to look for ya TaM, guess I'll have to make sure I check here first next time.

Re: Anyone headed to the Ft Worth gun show?
This was one of the largest gun shows I have seen recently, pricing on ammo was all over the place. However if you just kept looking great deals were easy to come by. Stocked up on .380 and 9mm . Also picked up a new beretta nano that will be my new carry piece. I shopped this weapon around all over town for several weeks and got the best deal on it at the show. I was pretty happy about that.
Re: Anyone headed to the Ft Worth gun show?
I went to the gun show Sunday. Not too crowded, but I did have to park in the parking garage across the street. Found the same 642 Talo I had just bought for $489 going for $529 from the SAME dealer I bought it from. So much for gunshow prices being better. However, in fairness, I did find it in the other room for $459 from another dealer. I bought some Bianchi .38/.357 bullet strips there. I had not been able to find them at any of the 7 or 8 gun shops I had been to previously. Now I just need to order the Tuff Strips pouch from the internet and I'll be set.
Still, there was a lot to see, but I was not overwhelmed by a feeling that this was a good place to be. I guess it was okay to kill a couple of hours here. I don't think I will be attending another one for a while though. YMMV.
