South Carolina's GOP governor Ms. Nikki Haley received a Beretta PX4 Storm in 9MM for Christmas and shared
the news with the public. Mostly cheers followed. But of course a few jeers from the anti's.

As a followup, 12 hours later her Democratic opponent shared his shotgun story.

Seeing as the Beretta PX4 Storm was the appropriate gift for a Governor that is currently wooing Beretta to relocate from Maryland to South Carolina, the shotgun is a pale and pathetic attempt.

The fact that the Storm has either 15 or 17 round mags (depending on whether compact or full size model) -- both of which are illegal to possess in Maryland -- the other implicit part of her message to Beretta is "you and your products are welcome here".

The shotgun brand wasn't even mentioned. I wonder if it is a "Crazy Uncle Joe Premier Home Defense Shotgun". You know, the one where you step onto the balcony and fire off into the air. :tiphat:

Well, sure helped Perry in the polls. Wonder how many folks think that actually happened? A one shot kill at 25 yd with a .380 LCP is mighty fine shooting, when you consider the size of the kill zone on a coyote ( 8" or so) and the heightened heart rate from jogging. I have a laser on my LCR but it doesn't seem to help me much at that distance. I wouldn't have taken the shot. (But, I wasn't running for office.)

And, to put in a plug in for the PX4, that's one of the best looking, sweetest shooting guns I've ever owned.
