Advice: Wife wont stop buying guns!

Post by Wodathunkit »

In the last year since she it her CHL she's bought a Glock 26 (too bulky) that I inherited  next she bought a Sig P290 that is her EDC but all of a sudden it doesn't hold enough rounds so just recently she has purchased a Sig P250 to keep in her purse/car. My dilemma: she wont share! Not really a problem, just doing a little bragging. :evil2: Happy new year everyone!

I imagine that I'm not the only one seeing the irony in a person with the screen-name WODATHUNKIT posting the thread titled, "Advice: Wife wont stop buying guns!".

Best wishes for a happy 2014 amid such tribulations. :biggrinjester:

;-) Tough problem to have. Hope you can work through it.

My son and I were in Academy yesterday. There was this really good looking lady looking at gun cleaning kits. The store clerk approached her and asked her if he could help. She said "I have a rifle and pistol. Which kit would you recommend?". Being the male chauvinist pig I am, I turned to my 17 year old son and asked him, "did you notice how much better looking that lady became after she said she has guns and needs a cleaning kit? His response was "I sure did". My safe advice to him was if fishes also she would be a top marrying candidate.

I narrowly escaped the dog house yesterday when I decided to sell an old ruger bearcat. The wife had a fit when she found out. I told her I was selling it to fund another purchase. Her response, "since when do we sell a gun in order to buy another one?"
Luckily the potential buyer understood and did not wish me to spend New Year's Eve outside scratching fleas.
Of course I immediately purchased a gen 4 G26.

Tough problem - easy solution:

Buy matching pairs of the guns you both like.

Only three guns in a year?
Pfffft.
Your wife has nothing on Mrs. Chemist.
We married in California where they have a one handgun per month rule.
I had to explain to her that the rule was a limit, not a requirement.

My husband stopped mentioning the gun show when it comes round and he used to want to go browse in gun shops. :evil2:
