Gun Range

Post by Blindref757 »

I went shooting with my brother-in-law over Christmas break at his local range in Ponca City, OK. I was a little unnerved by people shooting at us on the other side of the 18 foot tall berm! My question; Is this a common setup for ranges? Would you shoot here?

If the berm is that tall any bullet going over the top will be 40-50ft over your head. Nothing for you to worry about. Somebody down the road might need to be concerned.

It is fine so long as the caliber is appropriate as well, like nothing over 20 mm.

It looks to me like the pistol range is shooting back at the rifle range too. What's the problem? It's a wash! :biggrinjester:

It is how it is (at parts) of PSC
if someone shooting at 1 side of berm, shot over the berm, the round would have to fly probably 1000 yards (ok, depending on round, could be shorter), but it would be WELL over the other side shooters, and into the woods (or field)
