Something followed me home from the Mesquite Gun Show today.
A Ruger SR1911 CMD size 1911 which is my first. Got her all cleaned and frog lubed up for tomorrow. I can't wait to see how she shoots. My other .45 is a Baby Eagle which has been a decent gun but not great.

Pics and range report please.
You don't need to clean it before the photos. A little powder residue is good in such cases.

Those sr1911s are nice! One of the best bang for your buck 1911s! Now if Ruger made a CCO model! OMG! I would buy 2!

You're in luck - Ruger does make a CCO model.CC Italian wrote:Those sr1911s are nice! One of the best bang for your buck 1911s! Now if Ruger made a CCO model! OMG! I would buy 2!
Now we want to see pictures of both with the last digit of the serial numbers showing so we know you didn't cheat.

I think he wants an officer model instead of the Commander size model which is what I purchased and you have linked.Excaliber wrote:You're in luck - Ruger does make a CCO model.CC Italian wrote:Those sr1911s are nice! Well if that's the case I guess we'll have to wait a little longer.Right2Carry wrote:I think he wants an officer model instead of the Commander size model which is what I purchased and you have linked.Excaliber wrote:You're in luck - Ruger does make a CCO model.CC Italian wrote:Those sr1911s are nice! I don't know if Ruger will try to break into the ultra compact 1911 market, which is smaller than the market for the larger guns.

I could be wrong, but I agree that Ruger may not get into anything smaller than commander size.Excaliber wrote:Well if that's the case I guess we'll have to wait a little longer.Right2Carry wrote:I think he wants an officer model instead of the Commander size model which is what I purchased and you have linked.Excaliber wrote:You're in luck - Ruger does make a CCO model.CC Italian wrote:Those sr1911s are nice! I ran 400 rounds threw mine for the first time yesterday without a single hiccup. Hopefully you'll enjoy the same.

Re: Something followed me home from the Mesquite Gun Show to
I ran 150 rounds of WWB and 50 rounds of Federal HST threw mine today at the range. No one single FTE or FTF. The Ruger shoots really well in fact I think it is my new favorite toy. Not one single problem out of the gun. The frog lube worked just like it works on my other guns, made clean up after the first range session a breeze. I can't wait for my D.M. Bullard holster to arrive. Gun is more accurate than I am for sure.
