JM Signature Model Mossberg
JM Signature Model Mossberg
Just saw that Cabela's (at least the one in Buda) will have the JM Signature Model Mossberg 930 on sale for just over $600. Quite a deal.

It's either 8/9+1. You can order a XXL mag tube cap and it will add a +1 in the capacity of tube without having to chance springs. I"ve had one for over a yr and it runs great. But many have complained about reliability with them.

Re: JM Signature Model Mossberg
Hopefully you get a good one. They seem to to be hit or miss like all the other 930s. My SPS had a tweaked mag tube right from the factory. Even with a couple of hundred rounds through it it would never cycle low brass 100% reliably. I ended up selling it and got a Benelli. There are noted issues if you read around the web, specifically about the JM model over at brianenos.com. There are a couple of smiths that do a good job of working them over though.

My SPX had over 2 rounds when I sold it. Only issue was where the mag tube and receiver met there was a ruff spot that the spring would catch on. After a little sanding ut ran great. My Pro has over 1500 rounds and after bragging I got light primer strikes. Their know to have soft firing pins. I'm sending it to some guys I shoot 3 gun with and their gonna put a Ruger 10/22 pin in it. Also weld the lifter and shave the receiver so I can load deuces
