P238 Remora Holster Issue
I ordered the P238 holster from Remora. It is great, and the texture really keeps it where it needs to be. It stays put even when jumping up and down in the kitchen. The problem I see with it is that the slide moves back whe the gun is holstered, even when it is carefully inserted.

Is that from being "sticky" on the inside of the holster?Lionman13 wrote:I ordered the P238 holster from Remora. It is great, and the texture really keeps it where it needs to be. It might be, but it could be just tight, and new. Definitely a sticky texture. I am just not comfortable with this gun yet, and wanted to know if this problem is common, or some insight on the issue.

There are a few Remora fans on the forum. I have never seen or tried one.Lionman13 wrote:It might be, but it could be just tight, and new. Definitely a sticky texture. I am just not comfortable with this gun yet, and wanted to know if this problem is common, or some insight on the issue.

I'd check in with the Remora people. They seem real nice and they have a lot of history on the internet about positive customer service. Since they are generic to some extent, maybe they could suggest a different, slightly looser, holster.
I have two Remoras, one for a full size PX4 and another for a LCR w/laser grips and so far, they've worked well.

My wife tried one for her P238 and quickly determined it wouldn't work for her, sometimes her pants are a little loose and the holster wouldn't stay in place. More than one time the gun/holster almost wound up in her pants leg
. She now carries in the Betty holster at the appendix position. Works great for her.

first holster I bought was a Tagua OWB. Gun was real tight sliding in, like yours was moving slide back.. found a couple of sites on the net that suggested wrapping about 2-3 layers of wax paper around the gun, wax side out, and let the gun sit in the holster for about 24 hours... it actually loosen the holster quite a bit.... gun slides in pretty easy now... did the same thing when i bought a Tagua IWB. so far haven't seen any marring on the finish of the gun...Lionman13 wrote:I ordered the P238 holster from Remora.
