Now I understand why there are so many failures to fire with cheaper rimfire ammunition, and why a round sometimes fires on another attempt.

Cool video!

But, if they're making 4 million .22 rounds a day, why can't I find any at Walliy's World or at Cabelas?

Oversimplified, but 4,000,000 rounds divided by 500 rounds per brick divided by 50 states equals just 160 bricks per state. 254 counties in Texas equals less than 1 brick per county. Again, oversimplified but it shows 4,000,000 rounds isn't that much!!
