Cheap Ammo Boxes
I am looking for cheap plastic ammo boxes that hold 100 rounds of pistol ammunition. Call me a cheapskate, but I can't bear to spend $4-5 on something that costs pennies to make. Anyone know of a cheap alternative; quality is a low priority here.

Cabelas has some $1.99 fifty round boxes. Use promo code 84penny and get 1 cent shipping.

Wow - I think you one-upped me there. I remember about a year ago Cabellas had their 100 round boxes on sale for about $1. Sure wish I had stocked up.DocV wrote:I have been using ziplock bags but I am incredibly cheap.

Try Berry's. If you buy a box of 50, the price goes down. I have used them and have no complaints.

Re: Cheap Ammo Boxes
I haven't needed to buy any in years, but I bought 50 boxes of each caliber I needed. They came from Dillon and were well under $2/box. Here's a link http://www.dillonprecision.com/#/conten ... 2_1_2_quot_;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't store many rounds in boxes of the calibers I routinely shoot; i.e. .45ACP and 9mm. I use the 100 rd Dillon boxes as a last QC check for high or inverted primers and then dump them into a 50 Cal. ammo can. I do use the Dillon boxes for less used ammo like .40 S&W, 38 Super, 41 Mag., etc.

I use plastic peanut butter tubs and coffee cans.
They work just fine as long as you eat the peanut butter first!

Guns are like parachutes, if your ever in a situation that you need one and you dont have one, you'll probably never need one again.
