Front sight being repaired (again)
went to the range yesterday to shoot up the old FTX rounds after receciving a new supply.... after first round saw that the front sight had broken off again.... this time i think i have it figured out.... pass couple days days have been carrying it in a Tagua OWB holster which is pretty tight fit... notice a groove where the sight has been rubbing in the bottom of the holster.... same holster i had when it broke the first time.... so anyone want a Tagua leather holster, fits a .45 cal Ruger SR1911 CMD.

Could the problem be the MIM sight, not the holster? There are a bunch of folks who are in the same boat as you with the front sight snapping off. Contact Ruger and get it fixed. They are now doing MPI on all the sights before installation.
