Another Displaced Texan!

Post by gregthehand »

Well the orders came down and I am now living in good ole New Orleans as of last Monday. Sorry I have not posted already but it has been busy for me. I am still carrying all the time, and living in what seems to be a nice, gated community. I actually live across the river in Gretna, and work in Harvey for those of you familiar with the area. I decided not to change my state of residence since I still own land, and a home in Texas, and just here temporarily. If anyone knows of a good gun range, store, or internet forum for folks around here let me know. Also if there are any laws that I need to know about that are different then in TX let me know. So far everything seems about the same.

No place that sells liquor by the drink would be the main one: http://www.packing.org/state/louisiana/#stateoff_limits

New Orleans has a special place in my heart. My wife and I spent our honeymoon and fifth anniversary there, and one other trip. It's sad to see the state that it has fallen into. I hope you enjoy your time there.

Actually the way the law is written it makes it sound like that. I saw that too and it shocked me. The thing is that the license they have like here is what matters. Just like here they to derive 51% of their profits from onsite consumption. I asked a CWP instructor today!

I know you're there for awhile, but don't be a stranger here.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
