Nikon Customer Service- at last!

I started to title this "Never Give Up!". I needed a lens cover for my Nikon Monarch 6-20x50 scope that broke at the hinge. Called Nikon in August 2013 and service rep said it was covered under warranty and they'd be sending one shortly after the order was forwarded to Parts dept. I got an email with the order number and sort of a record of the conversation. November 2013 emailed a reply to that foe an update. Got another email thanking me for my order but no update. Called when I received that message and spoke with a service rep again. He checked with part and was told they were back ordered, but would be shipped as soon as they received them. Deer Season came and I forgot about it. February 2014 called again; same story back ordered. March call same old story. A call in April 2014 to them and I received my lens cover..... for a 40mm objective. Call them to report the error and I asked how to return it. Was told not to worry the correct one would be sent. A couple of calls during the summer of 2013 elicited no shipment. I thought about it when 2014 deer season rolled around so I called November 6. They first said the part was shipped, but couldn't determine when. Put on hold while the service rep investigated and when he returned to me he said it would go out right away. I received it last Wednesday. At least this time it was a 50mm cap!
Contrast that with Bushnell --November 2013 I sent them a 15 year old pair of 10X42 Bausch and Lomb binoculars to have them checked out and was informed they were not repairable. Got a brand new pair of Bushnell Elite 10X40's sent to me a month later!
