Beretta BU9 Nano
Cheaper than Dirt has them on sale for $299 this week. Anyone have one. Need some insight on one.

Skip -I have one but have not shot it yet. I can tell you it is a very solid feeling gun. I have read that it is not very fond of 115 gr. I will be shooting it soon with 124g. That price sounds real good. Academy has them on sale this week for $399. If I did not have one I would get that one from CTD.

I am a big S&W fan and my daily carry is a Shield9. But for the price I'm thinking hard on one. I may drive down tomorrow and pick one up. Beretta makes quality guns. I really don't need another pistol but hey I may need another one

Where did you see this on sale? Looked online and didn't see it that cheap.
Re: Beretta BU9 Nano
I saw it in an email promo. No link or anything to point to in the email that I can find that shows the ad. It should be up on their facebook page by this afternoon based on previous ads/sales.
*edit*
Forgot to add that I will be picking one up as soon as I can find some time today.

I deleted my email are I could forward it to you. I did print the email in case I go. It said for the McKinney and Round Rock stores only. A promotional sale for this week.

Re: Beretta BU9 Nano
I carried a Nano for the better part of 2yrs and just replaced it with a Shield 9mm. No, the Nano does not like 115gr. I had better range results with 124gr and 147gr. Since the trigger pull was about twice (unmeasured) that or more of any other handgun that I own, I had to dedicate a lot of range time to making sure that I could put rounds on target. It is a very solid gun for its size with recoil pushing straight back rather than flipping up.

The ad is up on their facebook page and it specifically mentions bringing the email ad in to get the price.

Never mind, I just called and they are already sold out. No expectation on getting any in before the sale ends.

Re: Beretta BU9 Nano
mine is great. in the beginning it didn't like 115g winchester. it just needed to loosen up a bit so after 200 rounds or so, it ate everything i fed it. the only thing i don't like is that it's very top heavy and the grip angle but it's minimal. oh yeah the trigger is a little long too. but i'm actually thinking of selling it to buy the G43....yes i admit, im a glockaholic.

They may have had just one in each store. I never managed to get a deal like that. What worked for me in the past was "H&K week" and the promotions on the SIG Sauer web site. Usually the give you a decent rebate in form of either cash or parts like magazines. But as I saud, it is on the manufacturer website or via their e-mail campaigns.

This is my girlfriends EDC and hers shoots 115 all day. Havnt had any issues with different ammo in it since we bought it a couple years ago. We hit the range 2-3 times a month an she shoots it every time we are there with my freedom 115 gr ammo.

Re: Beretta BU9 Nano
This piqued my interest so I went to Academy to test one out. After trying it, and then a shield for comparison, there is no way I could own a nano. The trigger pull on it is incredibly long and would bug me to the point that I regulate it to safe queen status.TexasCajun wrote:I carried a Nano for the better part of 2yrs and just replaced it with a Shield 9mm. Re: Beretta BU9 Nano
At the time that I bought the Nano, Shields were pretty hard to come by so I couldn't really do a comparison. Oddly enough, since I no longer carry the Nano and I shoot all of my pistols somewhat regularly, it's my first "safe queen".
