Indeed she did. One single incident defined her existence for over 3 decades.

When I posted this, I meant no disrespectful comments about the person. Disrespectful comments and disagreement in what she did are two different things.

So, my question now is, will the Brady campaign continue and if so who will head up the charge on pushing their anti-gun policies.

I am certain someone will step up to take her place. There is no shortage of those who want to take away our freedom.

Also :iagree: with those who have nothing else to say.

May she rest in peace. Interestingly she got involved after her son picked up a loaded weapon carelessly left in a truck. At least according to the article, I always assumed it was because of her husband being tragically wounded during the Reagan assassination attempt. I'm sure that incident supplied some impetus.

So many problems with that article. Just the phrase "gun lobby" alone irritates me to no end. Also, the anecdote about her son makes me think that someone should have been teaching their kid firearms safety instead of over-reacting against inanimate objects, albeit objects that are potentially dangerous. Would she have been against motorcycles if her young son had hopped onto a running sport-bike and revved it up? And though I think what happened to her husband was a terrible crime, it was just that, a crime. Penalizing the average firearms owner makes not one bit of difference to a nutjob or criminal.

I also have nothing to say in the interest of keeping this respectful.
