Flake - Arizona
Collins - Maine
McConnell - Kentucky
Cochran - Mississippi
Ayotte - New Hampshire
Graham - South Carolina
Hatch - Utah
Kirk - Illinois
Portman - Ohio
Johnson - Wisconsin

These Republicans voted for her. Why in the world would they do that? Were they afraid of being labelled racist or sexist?

Graham has got another thing coming if he thinks he's going to be president after this.

Not one Dem voted against.

I'm not surprised. I expected no less from Washington Republicans. The Republican party stopped representing me a long time ago. Democrats are so far left they're Communists and Republicans are now slightly left of where the Democrats used to be. Nothing will ever change the direction of Washington. The Constitution means nothing today. It's in your face what are you going to do about it.

At some point we need to let them go off on their own. Probably after the Union has been completely socialized but one can hope the States will fix it.

Cruz - Not voting. Seems like that's happening too often.

This is not a fight I would have chosen to pursue, were I a Senator.
Too many other things to choose that have a better chance of a better outcome.

YMMV.

Judges are different, but for cabinet posts, some Senators view that a president who is elected by the people needs to have his team he picked in place, so he can do the good or bad job the people wanted.

So after a short delay, where all the faults of his choices are pointed out, unless you find out the person is a murderer, the nominee should be approved.

The American people had a clear choice of who could be president. An honest, successful family man, with a proven track record or four more years of the previous president. They chose what we have now. We are laying in the bed they made.

I pray that God favors our country for the remaining months of his office and that we can escape the potential disasters that could occur.

I worry that as time passes and his presidency nears an end, our enemies may decide now is the time to act, while we appear weakened and unwilling to make correct choices.

God bless America. :patriot: :txflag:

I don't agree with that theory. The purpose of the Senate is to check and balance the Executive and Judiciary branches. The people also voted for Senators and Congressmen. Those representatives have an obligation to their constituents to check the abuse of Executive power and prevent appointments that are not in the best interests of the people who voted for THEM. If the voters wanted The One to have his way on everything they would have elected a Democratic majority. The voters put Republicans in power to prevent The One from having his way and they need to do the job they were voted into office to do.

Getting rid of Holder is what we should be looking at. That's a good thing. How much damage can she do in 1 1/2 years.

What she doesn't do may be more of a problem.
