FNFAL is one the real battle rifle. Impressive rifle for its time, adjustable gas block, 7.62 power, bolt hold open feature, accurate but it is not a sniper rifle, long barrel, the only negative is the weight.

A very reliable work horse. I Fabrique National Herstal is one of the great co for small firearms. I am puzzled why this rifle is left behind. I guess it is length/weight that sealed its fate.

Yes, great battle rifle alright. First modern military firearm that I ever shot and learned to field strip.

Wasn't that your FAL you let me shoot at one of our Elm Fork get-togethers? That was a fine battle rifle. I really liked it!

That's strange. I don't remember that being an issue at all and I normally prefer a shorter LOP. :headscratch

What I do remember was how easily it made those dirt clods disappear. :mrgreen:

Are FAL lowers the part with the serial number, like with an AR?
