I'm unsure how they define "incident" but there is a problem where shooters are mixing
with campers. There is a photo of a 60 year old man who was killed by a stray bullet
from an unknown person's firearm.

There is a list of the Western US forest which had the largest number of gun incidents.

The NYT has a similar article with a different lower number. This is either an orchestrated attack on gun owners or a terrifically amazing coincidence.
