Missing PM's

Post by TxD »

In the last week I have received 3 Email notifications of a PM received
on this site. When I come here and check, it says "no new messages"
and there are no new messages in my box.
Any suggestions?
I don't want folks to think that I am ignoring them.
Thanks in Advance.

That's a new one on me. I haven't had any PM's turn up missing and I've had to increase the number of PM's that can be in each of the boxes, just to keep up with the one's I get. These settings are global, not just for me, so you should have plenty of room.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Charles,
Another thing I noticed. The last PM's that I sent did not show in the sent file. They appeared in the outbox.
What am I doing wrong?

When you send a PM, it stays in our Outbox until the recepient reads it. This is moves to the Sentbox.

Thanks, Charles.

Did you get the response to the PM you sent me a couple of days ago? Could it be that your inbox is full?

Jason.
I received your reply on the tumbler.
I have emptied my inbox down to 5 replys.
We'll see what happens.
Thanks.
Dave.

The exact same thing happened to me once, maybe two months ago or so. Not sure what caused it then, but it hasn't happened again.

Yep, this is probably the main culprit...

The outbox is a repository till the sent box can store it for you...Or the recipients inbox if full...Thats what I'm thinking thats about...

One way to keep any information you want to save and clean out your inbox, sentbox etc etc...Just copy and paste on a "Word" document file and keep that for posterity...Or to use in a court of law... ;-)

Ain't nobody going to PM me anymore!!!
