I had planned on meeting several people there last night, so before I went, I looked them up on the TABC website to make sure they were not a 51% establishment, and it showed them to be a blue sign. However when I got there I had to do the walk back to my car because the red sign was posted. I talked to the manager about this, and he told me that their license had just renewed, and it was changed at that time from a red sign to a blue sign, but he has not received the new signage yet, so that is why the red one was still up. However, once the blue sign arrives, he will also post a 30.06 sign because "he can't have a bunch of drunk idiots with guns in his restaurant"

I guess I won't be going there anymore.

If what I've learned around here and my memory are correct, he received all the signs when he received the one they had posted. So, unless he has lost them, forgotten where he put them, or threw them out he already has them and has just chosen to not replace the red one with the correct one.

I guess I have a different take on this. If I had already looked up their license, and knew they were a blue sign, I would have carried away. Also, I wouldn't have said one word to the manager. Maybe he didn't even think about the 30.06 sign until your discussion, or maybe he did, who knows. Regardless, no need to bring the matter to his attention. I guess I find some satisfaction in knowing I'm legally carrying when the business is in the wrong and/or thinks they're being sneaky.

Any update on this? I have an event there that I am attending and really don't want to have to leave my "right hand man" locked up.

They are still Blue on the TABC site but I was wondering if they posted the 30.06. If I have time, I'll drive over to check before heading to the event.

Just went by--no 30.06/30.07. So if the manager claimed they were going to do it..they never did.

Checked location over off of Western Center.
